[Switching over to video mode, anyone could see Ranma standing in the backyard of his cottage, holding the weapons still. Well, holding the golden staff normally. The other, crescent-moon ended one, he was twirling it in his hand.]
This one-- [Giving the crescent moon-tipped weapon a shake.]-- is called the Gekkaja. The moon at the end's a blade, so unless you've never seen a sword in action, should be self-explanatory what can do. But if you bend it...
[Careful not to cut himself on it, Ranma turned the moon part, emitting an audible 'click' on the camera.]
You activate its power, just like a switch. Meaning it can now do cool stuff like this!
[Ranma suddenly turned and swung the weapon into the trunk of a tree. Almost instantaneously, the tree went up with frost coating its entire structure. Before anyone witnessing this could see it, that tree was frozen and encased in solid ice.]
That's what'cha call ice magic where you're from? Little on the nose, don'tcha think?
[Besides the point, getting back on track, Ranma looked at the frozen tree and aimed the Kinjakan at it.]
Gekkaja was created as the opposite, the sister weapon you see. To the Kinjakan, a.k.a. the one with the sun end to it. Gekkaja's ice based, and made as a counter, so take a wild guess what this one's great at.
Besides the obvious, there's also--
[Rearing his arm back, Ranma slashed forward with the staff. All at once, the circular blade detached itself from the staff and zoomed forward. Cutting clean through the frozen tree.]
--this. It's-- [While he's talking, Roxas and anyone else could see the circular blade bouncing all around, ricocheting and cutting just about anything it hit. All while Ranma talked, completely unfazed or disturbed by the object of death coming closer and closer to taking his head.]-- capable to being flung like a discus to cut stuff from afar. Neat, huh?

What do they do?

[Which does look super cool]
What about the other one?

[... it's still going.]

I didn't come up with the name. Firaga's the fire one, so I guess that's what it does?
They do seem pretty useful though.
Still, you should probably be careful.
