He's 5'8 and has a fit body from training every day to be a hero. Powers and Abilities: Katsuki, like the majority of people in his world, has a super power called a Quirk. His Quirk is Explosion. He secretes a nitroglycerin-like substance that he can detonate. He uses this to fight and to propel himself through the air to fly. The more sweat he has, the bigger the Explosions. Character Questions: 1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon? Or who is someone they miss the most? Undeniably the person closest to Katsuki is Izuku Midoriya. It's explicitly stated in canon and their closeness is the reason Shigaraki targets Katsuki. They've known each other their whole lives and have had a tumultuous relationship. Starting as childhood friends, they had a falling out because Katsuki misunderstood Izuku's truly kind and selfless nature and thought he was being looked down on. It didn't help when they got into high school and Katsuki thought Izuku was hiding his quirk from him their whole lives. But over the course of the series, their relationship has been on the mend with Katsuki trying to fix things. After realizing his own failings, Katsuki has stepped up and tried to understand Izuku better. He has stepped up to 'be the guy who steps in when Izuku can't do it'. He wants to compete with Izuku for the rest of their lives and undoubtedly sees Izuku as his closest friend now. He has gone from being angry at Izuku's mere presence to helping him train his quirk, taking blows meant for Izuku and chasing after him to compete.
2. What are they most afraid of? Katsuki is afraid of failure. And what that failure could mean. He's been praised his whole life for being strong and having a strong quirk. And he never had to confront the feelings that come from failure up through middle school. He was a big fish in a small pond and it gave him a very grandious view of himself that came crashing down once he got into UA and found himself surrounded by equally talented and strong peers. It was his first encounter with people who could beat him. And he didn't like that idea in the least. It was the first time he really had to face that he had room to grow and that he could in fact lose. After getting kidnapped by the league and subsequently watching All Might's final fight in the aftermath, he's felt guilty for his own weakness. He holds himself responsible for All Might's retirement, even stating that he thought himself weak for getting kidnapped and needed to be saved. And now he's had another 'failure', being taken down by Shigaraki and if he fails here and now in the moment he's in, All Might will die which is sure a hell of a weight on his shoulders. So it has gone from an 'I hate losing' mindset to 'If I lose there are consequences in the field I've chosen' making it a lot more intense for him.
3. What is their weakness? Emotionally, mentally and physically? Katsuki’s weakness is how stubborn and hot-headed he is. He's gotten better about cooperation. And about reeling in the temper a little. But he can still get fired up, especially about competition. He tends to yell a lot and argue with both peers and those above him. Especially when he doesn't respect them. He also hates to lose and refuses to run from a fight. Even when running is the best choice. Physically, cold and water are not his friends. Since his quirk relies on sweating, if he's cold it's hard to work up a sweat and water can wash it away making it hard or even impossible to get a spark.
4. What would make them happiest? He wants to be the number one hero. Top of the top. Nothing else will do. This is something Katsuki outright voices numerous times in the series. He loves to win and he loves to aim for the top. He also strives to be the best in anything he does. Something we see even outside the battlefield. Such as his cooking skills and that he took music classes and knows how to play the drums. Even if neither of these are things he needs to be good at for his main goal, it's clear he put in the effort to learn to do these things right. (Even getting upset when others don't put in the same effort.) Katsuki is an individual that believes if something is worth doing, it's worth doing right. And with his dream to be a hero of course he'd apply that to this too, striving to reach the top and be just like his idol, All Might, the hero who always wins.
5. What do you want out of your character in this setting? It seems like a fun setting that I've been wanting to play with for a while and I have friends here. But also the chance to play him from that precise moment and explore the feelings he's having re: saving and winning and re: All Might is just glorious?
